Abstract

Research Aims: This study aims to examine the level of adolescent involvement in Pos Pembinaan Terpadu (Posbindu) NAWASENA activities in RW 1 Kalinegoro Village and to identify the key factors that influence their participation in preventive health efforts.

Design/methodology/approach: A descriptive quantitative method was employed, involving 42 adolescents selected through random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics in SPSS.

Research Findings: The results indicate that adolescent participation is at a moderate level, with occasional attendance and limited feedback. Only 30.9% of respondents provided suggestions after Posbindu sessions. Contributing factors include perceived disease risk, self-efficacy, family and peer support, and motivation from community figures such as Karang Taruna.

Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The study adopts the theoretical frameworks of community participation (Cohen & Uphoff), the Health Belief Model (HBM), and community empowerment to interpret youth health behavior. These findings offer a basis for improving community-based adolescent participation strategies through education, peer involvement, and social support mechanisms
